I love reading and writing several forms of short poetry--darn short poetry. Some of my work is main stream, but I also like genre poetry. Scifi Haiku e.g. is called Scifaiku, horror haiku are horrorku and fantasy haiku are fantaiku. If you like mine you should search the web for more. Anyone interested in knowing more about these forms should check out my poetry rules page. Enjoy.

emotional winds

cold gusts turning warm then hot

changing directions

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
wade in my mind's stream
panning for inspiration
bright flash...eureka
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

laying side by side

in a crescent moon hammock

our love lights the skies

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
raindrops paint my mood
swift strokes on nature's canvas
paint me peaceful
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

my guise sheds too soon

this is who I really am

will you still love me

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
wish I could see you
from the observation deck
light years between us
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

rolling through the park

some of the old spark still left

robots in love

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
grandpa's holograph
tells my kids bedtime stories
just like he used to
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

hush

hush

dearest

little one

mamma’s lullaby

summons soothing sleepy angels

their wee wings flit and flutter upon your cheeks and brow
